Jo Sharp Origami Bolero Pattern

Although this garment looks intricate, it is really a beginner project once the easy lace pattern stitch is mastered. It is worked in three rectangular sections, using two simple textures and several colors. Worn as a bolero it fits snugly around the shoulders, arms and upper back and drapes loosely to the front, side and lower back. This garment may also be work upside down as a fitted cardigan. Also includes instruction on creating cord tie closure.

This pattern provides two versions. The garment may be knitted using only one strand of yarn throughout and US 9 needles. Desert Garden Aran Cotton works well as does Mulberry Silk Georgette (the latter makes a very holey, drapey wrap that is lighter than the Desert Garden version.
